Wie kam es und wann zur Gründung der Band?

Bereshit

Bereshit wurde Ende 2011 in Mendoza (Argentinien, die Red.) von Vladimir (Performance) und Chucky (Performance and Programming) gegründet, nachdem sie bereits jahrelang Geschmäcker und Fetische teilten. Im November 2011 brachten sie das auf die Bühne.

Was bedeutet "Bereshit", wie kam es zu dem Namen?

Bereshit

"Bereshit" kommt aus dem Hebräischen und bedeutet so viel wie Entstehung. Wir kamen zu dem Namen, weil wir beide durch eine ganze Reihe von Veränderungen gegangen sind, und wir suchten nach einem Wort, das einen neuen Anfang symbolisiert. Einen Neubeginn mit unseren Werten, unseren Überzeugungen, unseren Geschmäckern, unserer Art, den menschlichen Geist zu sehen. Das Wort "Genesis" gibt es in vielen Sprachen, und das hebräische hat uns vom Klang her gefallen.

Welche Musik/Bands haben euch beeinflusst?

Der musikalische Hintergrund der Bandmitglieder ist sehr unterschiedlich, aber das half uns, den Bereshit-Sound zu entwickeln. Ein Beispiel:  Der Drummer hat eine Leidenschaft für Hardcore und Hardstyle. Der Gitarrist gehört noch einer Elektro-Death Metal-Band an, und deren Einfluss ist Death und Black, und wer Chucky zuhört, weiß, sie steht für Dark/Eelektro/Industrial/Noise/Aggro usw. Die guten menschlichen Beziehungen zwischen den Bandmitgliedern und Professionalität tragen dazu bei, dass beim Komponieren eines Stückes jeder das Beste seiner musikalischen Kenntnisse beisteuern kann und wir heute das sind, was wir sind.

Wie seht ihr die Elektro/Harsh/Aggro-Szene in Argentinien?

Leider ist diese Szene in Argentinien sehr klein und noch am ehesten in der argentinischen Hauptstadt Buenos Aires anzutreffen. Alle zwei, drei Monate gibt es auch mal ein Event in anderen Provinzen des Landes. Das macht es sehr schwierig für die Bands, ihr Material unters Volk zu bringen.

Unfortunately the scene in Argentina is very small, one can enjoy throughout the year a little in the capital (Buenos Aires), and maybe wait an event every two or three months in another province country, therefore it is very difficult for bands here disseminate the material.

Wieviele Alben/EPs habt ihr schon veröffentlicht? Wann erscheint Euer nächstes Album, und auf was dürfen sich die Fans in Europa dann freuen?

2012 haben wir in Argentina alleine die  EP "Bereshit - Clamor" herausgebracht, die wir bei jedem Event verteilten, um sie zu verbreiten. Nach einem Jahr harter Arbeit haben wir dann mit den Aufnahmen zu "hits and blood" begonnen. "hits and blood" ist unabhängig über das Internet released worden und bildet in klanglicher Hinsicht die verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen der Bandmitglieder ab, ebenso die Entwicklung der Band innerhalb der ersten beiden Jahre. Dank der freien Distribution der CD waren die ersten Tourneen durch Chile, Equador und Peru möglich, und Ende 2014 entschlossen wir uns, "Virtual Freedom" aufzunehmen, das die Freiheit der Band widerspiegelt und sich im Material, in der Qualität, in Stil und Sound manifestiert - gestärkt und solide. Das Album erscheint beim equadorianischen Label  "Mechanized" im August dieses Jahres und wird weltweit über Bandcamp vertrieben.
